    tadpoles fly to Caribbean Comment
    Gregory Morris, 10/27/03 1:44:12 pm
That is straight from a CNN headline. I'm serious. And I know what you are thinking... where can I get a flying tadpole?!?

Unfortunately they can't fly on their own... they flew on a plane, probably in a 2 litre soda bottle full of water and tadpole poop.

What does that have to do with my life? Well, nothing really. I'm just busy with school and work and wishing I was in bed when I'm staring at a computer screen full of lines of output generated by some bash script I wrote. Its bad enough to have to be working my arse off all the time, but looking at the code I write sometimes makes me wanna cry. Not because its poorly designed, and I should have pride, and I'm selling myself short, and blah blah blah. No, its just ugly. Its kinda like taking LISP code, mating it with the most obfuscated PERL and then shooting it with a handful of grape shot. But ya know the funny thing? We found a bug in our professors code the other day, so he had to cut a huge part out of our last project and give us bonus points and stuff... cool huh? But... Then, he had me come up in front of the class and pull up the code for people to see...
Ok, so it was just a snippit. And it was AWK, so everyone expected it to be ugly. So I didn't get too red in the face. I just hope that no one gets to see the parsing scripts I wrote for the same project. It would make a CS 101 professor pee his pants, then run and hide in the janitors closet.

Meanwhile, I'm still tired of people asking me "How is married life?" Its f**king Awesome now shut up about it before I take a spade to your spine!

Ok, now I'll turn off the bitching for a second to tell you some good news:
We have over 20 gallons of beer brewing in my bathroom closet. Yep.
We have a Brown Ale, a Christmas Lager(ish), a Dry Stout, and a freshly kegged Extra Stout.
    Fantastic isn't it?

Hopefully by the time it is ready, we'll have a few more bubblin' away.

Oh yeah, on a similar note:
Gregory Damon Morris can be rearranged to spell:
    Yo, Dragon Mirror Gems

...which is what I learned in school today.

hahaha. my friend kate is having a shitty time as a first-year cs grad student too, but that's because she has to teach cs 1 (ms office for dummies). that and the fact that they threaten to yank her funding/kick her out of the program all the time. anyway.

    it's good to post.

    BACKHAND JEER PLUGS TORT-

that sounds like something monica would read in a newspaper. as for charitable dong, well - things like that just can't be made up :)

joe, read it again, its "Chartable" dong, not charitable... which, in your own words, can't be made up. (reminds me of "my dick is so big, it has its own zipcode" and all the other big dick jokes.)

I think its funny that no one responded to my post, only to my first little reply. Doesn't anyone besides me care about the tadpoles?

    joe, 10/30/03 12:56:54 pm
naw. tadpoles and swamp creatures was your thing, remember? mr. 30 second frog? oh well.
anyway, chartable dong is much better than charitable :)
Re: Re: Re: tadpoles fly to Caribbean
    Gregory Morris, 10/30/03 2:04:12 pm
it was a 10 second frog fyi.

    and yes. chartable is better.

at least more fitting for you.

    monica, 10/30/03 5:12:56 pm
i thought it was a 3-second frog. but what do i know. we should ask aaron white.

but yeah, i'm in favor of flying tadpoles. my favorite scene in that one tom cruise movie - magnolia - was the similar scene. it's great.

Aaron's was a 3-second one. But he was willing to sacrifice quality for speed. My 10-second frog could eat his 3-second frog.

I mean, he lost details like eye brows, which frogs can't express their emotions without... come on!
