I’ve been feeling kind of down lately. Mostly because I feel helpless. I feel small. There is so much going on in my life right now that I don’t have any control over. I have realized lately that I might have some control issues. I like to be in charge of my life and things that happen in it. I like to have control over situations and actions. What does a control freak do when they can do nothing?
I was talking to a friend the other night about all of this, and the issue came up that what would happen if something really bad happened and I couldn’t do anything about it. Even if I tried my hardest. I wasn’t sure what I would do. You see I have prided myself on being able to help people when they need it. I feel like that’s what God wants me to do. I want to help people, anyone whether I know them or not. It makes all of my past pain easier to come to terms with. I ask God to give me wisdom and strength to get through my life so I can make a difference in someone else’s. It’s worked great in the past. I give my heart and soul so that someone else knows that they will make it. That they can have the strength to survive.
Life isn’t easy and sometimes people feel like they can’t live any more. I’ve been there I’ve been in deep dark hell and I didn’t want to wake up in the morning. You just want it to stop. To make the pain go away.
What do you do when you can’t give any more? When your strength is gone? When you just don’t know what to do to help? I’m scared. And feel lonely for the first time in a long time. But I have to keep going, keep my chin up and dig deep for the strength. Pray for strength and courage to help fight the battles.
If you’re out there who ever you are and are feeling so much despair. Please know it gets better. It might not seem like it, but there is light at the end of that dark dark tunnel. I’ve been there I’ve walked the same road. What ever you do don’t give up. You’re life is more precious than you will ever know right now. Just keep going and find something to hold on to. Seek help, find a councilor, friend, family member, clergyman, anyone who you trust and tell them how you feel. Don’t give up until you’re tried everything. Someone out there loves you and would miss you if you weren’t around!!
