My very first rifle was an M44. The first rifle I ever held was my dad's Remington-made Mosin-Nagant rifle. This is just the latest part of a continuing love affair.
Spec-wise, it is a 1942 build, which means wartime, which means the fit and finish isn't spectacular, but it is in remarkably better condition than my M44, and I paid less for this one. It also has a round receiver. My dad's is a hex, and my next one will be as well.
Both AIM and SOG have decent re-arsenaled m91/30s for $70. At SOG, I think they are actually $60 if you buy three or more at a time.
